Wright Elementary School 2006-2007 School Year Dear Parents, Welcome to Wright School's Kindergarten Program! Kindergarten is an important and exciting step in your child's education and we are looking forward to working with you and your child in the upcoming school year. Attached is your registration packet which we ask that you complete and return as soon as possible. We invite you and your child to sign-up to visit our current Kindergarten classes during our designated Visitation Days in May. A visit will give you an idea of what Kindergarten is like and will help you and your child feel more comfortable about school. For the first couple of months our Kindergarten day begins at 8:30 a.m. and dismisses at 12:15 p.m. Starting in November we begin our extended kindergarten day. The new dismissal time will be 1:30 except on Wednesdays, which are minimum days, and will dismiss at 12:15. At the time of registration, we would like to see the following items: 1. Your child's birth certificate 2. Current immunization record 3. Two forms of address verification
*Also, before the start of the school year, our district requires that your child have a physical examination.
Please be advised that your child will not be allowed to start kindergarten without the above requirements being met. You will receive more specific information from the Kindergarten teachers in August. At that time you will receive a letter informing you of your child's classroom placement and reminding you of important dates. Please note the dates listed on the back of this letter. We are looking forward to meeting you and working together to provide your child with a wonderful first year at Wright School. The Kindergarten Teachers and Terrena Rodebaugh, Principal |
